Bi-Borough library service are thrilled to invite you all to empowerED!, a Libraries and Archives EDI conference designed for all library and archive staff, literacy leads, sector partners and key libraries and archives stakeholders.
Expect thought-provoking discussions on designing inclusive library services, exploring queer spaces, tackling anti-racism, and showcasing inspiring EDI projects from across the Libraries & Archives Sector.
A safe space
This conference will create a safe space where libraries and archives professionals and stakeholders can understand the ways in which libraries and archives can contribute to driving equality, diversity and inclusion across their communities.
By exploring key topics, sharing good practice and facilitating discussion, this conference will inspire and equip attendees with the confidence and motivation to initiate change in their positions.
About Bi-Borough Libraries and Archives
Bi-Borough Libraries and Archives has been on a journey since 2019 to become the most inclusive library service in the UK, and this vision has driven a number of service developments over the last five years. In 2023, they made a commitment to become an anti-racist service. To truly achieve this commitment, they recognise the systemic practices and processes that continue to disadvantage the most vulnerable in our communities and are being brave, innovative and proactive in dismantling and rebuilding fairer and equitable services that are accessible to all.
